Learn Beekeeping Basics from the Pros

Join us at Lone Oak Farm in Smithville, TX, on June 27th from 10am- 2pm for a beginner's beekeeping course along the Colorado River. We’ve invited beekeeping experts from Farmer Brown and Co, ZaNaria and Henry Brown to lead participants through a 3 hour workshop on beekeeping. This hands-on session will prepare you for your first hive and introduce you to the essential agricultural products related to beekeeping.

After the class, enjoy lunch and explore the farm for its flora, fauna, and a riverside escape from the city. Don’t forget to visit our farm store, where you can learn more at your own pace about the habitat, soil conservation work, and farmer development activities at Lone Oak Farm.

Fee: $50 - Class registration fee includes 3 hours of instruction, lunch with a drink, discounted farm products from the farm store, and access to the farm and riverside amenities during your visit.

Children 13-17 are $40, children 12 and under are free.

There are limited vegetarian options for lunch, so please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
